LockBit (a RaaS group) is still one of the most widespread and sophisticated ransomware threats today. LockBit 1.0, LockBit 2.0, and LockBit 3.0 have all had significant negative effects during their malicious campaigns, and this trend is only expected to increase.
LockBit’s rising activity DarkFeed analysts found that LockBit affiliates accumulated 103 victims out of a total of 230 in September.

Prior to this, LockBit ransomware was being spread via Microsoft Exchange servers using a zero-day weakness that had not been made public.
